Brioni Cobalt Blue Mens Double Breasted Blazer Jacket
I love a good double breasted blazer, and even better…it’s cobalt blue! The color is just loud enough to say “I’m here,” and subtile enough to whisper “I’m chic, and I know it.”
Alexander McQueen Black Wool Silk Mesh Overlay Long Sleeve Top
Simple, understated, and McQueen? The great thing about this piece is that you could have it make a statement by pairing it with loud accessories or you could layer it into a multitude of looks. The sheer is genius!
YSL Yves Saint Laurent Black Leather Mombassa Horn Belt
If I were a belt, this is definitely what I’d be…
YSL Yves Saint Laurent Black Suede Purple Trim Acrylic Platform Heels
Now, I don’t wear heels (often), but I’m pretty sure the objective is to turn heads. No? Well, with that pop of purple, and edgy see-through structure, I’m going wild.
How to Wear: Year of the Dragon

The Chinese New Year celebration kicked off January 23, and we say goodbye to the rabbit and hello to the only mythical creature in the Chinese zodiac, the dragon. People born under this sign are generally innovative, brave, passionate, and quick tempered. Many believe a dragon year boast the most luck than any other sign. Check out in house stylist’s Ashley Barlow’s dragon inspired looks pulled from our current auctions site in honor of what we hope will be a very prosperous year.

Defeating Nian: According to old Chinese folklore, the origin of Chinese New Year began with a battle against the mythical beast Nian. Each year he would visit the villages and eat all of the livestock, crops, and even people. To hopefully diminish his appetite for children, the villagers started putting food on their doorsteps. One day they saw Nian run away from a child wearing all red and discovered he was fearful of this color. To keep away the demons this year, we put together this monochromatic look including…
1) Hermes Red And Blue Silk Scarf. 2) Donna Karan Collection Red Sequin Sweater, 3) Pauline Trigere Black Wool Belted Cape. 4) Kristensen Du Nord Red Corduroy Pants. 5) Burberry Black Aviator Platform Round Ankle Boot .

Nature of the Dragon: The dragon is the least domesticated animal sign in the Chinese zodiac, therefore people born during this year generally enjoy outdoor activities and are extroverts who enjoy nature. Its important for dragons to have an abundance of flamboyant activewear to match their personality, like…
1) Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Curved Choker. 2) Andrew Marc Black Quilted Leather And Gold Zip Bomber Jacket. 3) Giorgio Armani Black Label Black & Ivory Stripe Vest. 4) Kimberly Ovitz Grey & Neon Yellow Seamed Athletic Leggings.

Beast of Burden: This look is meant to demonstrate the structure and reptilian dragon physicality. The two tops represent the strong yet fanciful upper body while the necklace represents mysticism and lucky nature. And of course the skirt and heels show the qualities, textures and colors of a scaly dragon.
